AADA to increase bunker surcharge in April
|

THE 14-member carriers of the Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) are to increase the bunker surcharge level for shipments from Hong Kong, China and Korea to ports in Australia by US$150 per TEU and $300 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers starting April 2.
The lines said that on the same day they will withdraw the emergency bunker surcharge of $50 per TEU.
The carriers added that each of them can change rates independently to AADA.
AADA members are ANL Container Line, Cosco, Columbus Line, China Shipping Container Line, Fesco, Hyundai Merchant Marine, K Line, MSC, Maersk Sealand, MOL, NYK Line, OOCL, P&O Swire Containers and Zim Line.
